Gable Roof Buildings

A gable roof is the familiar two-sided roof. Both sides slope down from a central ridge, with a triangular wall at each end.

It is a simple, versatile shape. We design gable roof steel kits for homes, shops, garages, ADUs, and commercial buildings.

Design your building around its use

Start from how you will use the building. These are options to discuss with our design team. Each project is engineered for its site, and not every option is part of every kit.

Width and length

Choose a footprint that fits your property and your use.

Wall height

Taller walls can make room for larger doors, equipment, or a second story.

Doors and windows

Sizes and approximate locations of roll-up doors, entry doors, and windows are planned with you.

Living space

Plan rooms, porches, and a second story for a home, cabin, or ADU.

Shop and garage space

Plan bays, workspace, and parking for vehicles or equipment.

Storage space

Plan open storage or separate units for personal or commercial use.

What the kit includes

  • Fire resistant, mold resistant, termite resistant steel framed eco structure kit
  • Engineered plans for both the building and the foundation
  • Door and window frames sized for your requirements
  • Structural bolts, braces, painted screws, and sealants for assembly
  • Wall framing, roof framing, and exterior steel for the walls and roof

The actual windows and doors are not included.

Foundation plans and the foundation

Your kit comes with engineered foundation plans. The physical foundation is built by your local contractor, working from those plans.

Construction on site and interior finishing are done by you or your local builder.

California projects are subject to case-by-case engineering review.
